Stay Well Pharmacy History

Stay Well Pharmacy was founded by Primary Healthcare pharmacist and local karate instructor Mark Webster. Mark is a passionate educator in the benefit of nutritional supplements and the body's need for vitamins and minerals to support optimal health.

Mark originally trained at the former Tavener's Pharmacy in Hornby's Witham St. then travelled and worked overseas, expanding and refining his knowledge along the way. This included time at Harrods in London, looking after the health of some very famous and wealthy people! On returning to New Zealand it was clear that health was much more than just eating well.

Mark purchased Tavener's Pharmacy in 2001; then, in 2006, moved the pharmacy to its current site at 27 Shands Road, rebranding as Stay Well Pharmacy. Over the years, Mark has stayed at the forefront of developments in the fields of nutritional, environmental and anti-ageing medicine through his associations with the American and Australasian Associations of Anti-Ageing Medicine and the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine.
